With Christmas a little over four weeks away, many families will be heading out this weekend or next for a tree. There are more than 60 tree farms in the state and a few of the state's biggest and oldest are opening this weekend.

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree! That's what many tree seekers may have in mind as they're walking through some tree farms this season.

The holiday season is here, and Wiggins Tree Farm is back to bring Christmas cheer to Bulloch County! Since 1983, Robert and Anita Wiggins have welcomed families to their farm on Highway 80 West, offering beautiful Frazier firs and a touch of festive tradition.

With Christmas season right around the corner, local tree farms are getting excited for their busy season. One local farm, the Lowes Creek Tree Farm, is preparing for an uproar in sales both this weekend and the next few weekends.

The Walkers will open Juno’s Tree Farm to the public on Nov. 23 for the first of three weekends of Christmas tree sales. The lot will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and by appointment. Because their own trees aren’t yet mature enough to sell, the Walkers are bringing in trees from a fellow Christmas tree grower in Cambridge.
