Jordan Spieth got off to an absolutely electric start to the Players Championship on Thursday. Of course, most golf fans would just characterize that as a normal start for the three-time major champ.

Jordan Spieth had two eagle hole-outs, one double, two birdies and two bogeys Thursday at The Players — over his first nine holes on the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. Spieth began his opening round hitting his approach shot on the par-4 10th to 14 inches.

Dallas native Jordan Spieth had a wild opening round at TPC Sawgrass on the first day of the Players Championship. Spieth is currently No. 65 in the world rankings and is coming off a strong performance and a ninth-place finish at the Cognizant Classic two weeks ago.
