Recent reprieves and last-minute cash influxes have seemingly not been enough to save Crozer Health as Prospect Medical Holdings -- the company that owns Delaware County's largest health network -- has definitively said the health system will close.

In bankruptcy court Monday, Prospect Medical Holdings, a private equity firm, filed a motion to shutter Crozer Health and all its outpatient facilities licensed with the hospital, including Crozer Chester Medical Center and Taylor Hospital.

Crozer Health caregivers are demanding that the two Delaware County hospitals remain open while a new owner is found.
