ESAB has unveiled its Vision T6 CNC, a controller for automated plasma and oxy-fuel cutting machines that the company says is ...
Saying it is extremely detailed would be an understatement. They cover everything from choosing components to machine setup. The group already had a CNC Plasma Cutter that they have outgrown.
The CNC machine uses a handheld plasma cutting torch as its base, which uses a blowback start mechanism making it usable in an automated CNC setup without interfering with the control electronics.
The interface also accepts industry-standard G-code files from any CAD/CAM package. The cutter’s repeatability is to within 0.001 in., resolution is 0.0002 in., and its top cutting speed is 800 ipm.
CNC systems carry a plasma torch over a table based on programed X-Y axis coordinates. The new at-home plasma machine, the CrossFire, is the brainchild of brothers Mike and Danny Downs.

Having a plasma table to cut metal parts would be nice. Loading the plasma table with 4’x8′ or 4’x10′ sheets can get awkward. Having this auto-loaded with a click of a button would be ideal.
