The folks over at Good e-Reader are reporting that Amazon is "canceling" shipments of the Colorsoft, at least until after November 26. According to their report, the delay could be through November 18 in the United States and November 26 in the UK.

The Kindle Colorsoft only just launched, and it seems that this new color-screen e-reader has been nothing but beset by problems.

As its name suggests, the $199.99 Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition is an upgraded version of the $159.99 Paperwhite, both of which have been refreshed for 2024. Like the latest Paperwhite, it offers a slightly larger screen and faster performance than the 2021 model.

Amazon says it’s working to fix issues with the Kindle Colorsoft, its first color e-reader, following complaints from early buyers that a yellow band of discoloration appears on the bottom of the display.

Kindle Colorsoft has display issues with a yellow tint at the bottom. Amazon halts shipments, promises replacement or refund for affected devices. Adjustments are being made to ensure next devices won't have display problems.
