McKee, in his second year out of Stanford, threw two more touchdown passes after replacing Pickett and then made his first NFL start Sunday and defeated the Giants, 20-13. He completed 27 of 41 throws for 269 yards and two touchdowns while playing almost exclusively with fellow backups.

“He wants to be great,” Barkley told The Athletic. “He’ll do anything to be great.”

McKee will start at quarterback in Sunday's game against the Giants, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
