SOUTH CAROLINA (WBTV) - The in-person early voting period for 2025 municipal elections opened Monday morning across South Carolina, with a handful of counties set to hold local contests this fall. Within those counties, municipalities, which include towns, cities, and villages, have races on the ballot.

Early voting for South Carolina began on Monday. Anyone registered can vote at any early voting center until Oct. 31. Upon arrival, a photo ID will be required, and the process is the same as it would be on Municipal Election Day. Early voting centers will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
