The right-hander is dealing with a high-grade lat strain, manager Carlos Mendoza said Monday, and has been shut down from throwing for 6-8 weeks.

He is leaving the team's spring training complex in Florida to receive treatment in New York, including a platelet rich-plasma injection.
Frankie Montas and left-hander Sean Manaea are both set to start the season on the injured list, but the Mets believe they’re in a good spot.
