New York City police are searching for a group of people they say took a subway train on a joyride. The department released images Wednesday of six individuals who they say commandeered an unoccupied “R” train in Queens over the weekend.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz and NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch announced the arrest of 10 individuals alleged to be members and associates of the Tren de Aragua (TDA) gang, a transnational criminal organization involved in trafficking firearms into New York City.

Authorities say the six people got inside the train before briefly operating it and then vandalizing some of the glass panels on the train's camera before running off.

The reckless perps are accused of stealing the unoccupied R train from a storage yard at the Forest Hills-71 Av subway station in Queens just before 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, cops said.

Officials said Ikechukwu Onodu was shot in his chest around 4:40 p.m. on 86th Drive and 209th Street in Jamaica Estates. First responders took him to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, where he was pronounced dead.
