Barry made landfall as a tropical depression off the eastern Gulf Coast of Mexico on Sunday night, and was expected to bring heavy rains and flash flooding to the North American nation over the next few days.

Heavy rainfall, strong winds, and localized flooding are concerns for eastern Mexico, particularly with the expectation of up to 45 mph winds at landfall.

Two tropical storms on either side of Mexico have formed and could produce life-threatening flooding during the next few days. Tropical Storm Barry has formed in the Bay of Campeche and will not have a long lifespan before making landfall along the Mexico coastline late Sunday evening.
