The Yankees survived an MLB-leading 13th blown save by Clay Holmes and won it on Anthony Rizzo's leadoff RBI double in the 10th.

Anthony Rizzo hit a tiebreaking double in the 10th inning and drove in both runs for New York as the Yankees clinched a playoff spot with a 2-1 win over the Seattle Mariners.

The Mariners scored three runs in the first inning and held on to beat the Yankees to keep their playoff hopes flickering.

The Yankees seemed to celebrate extra hard since many of them were on last year’s team that missed the playoffs.
