Unidentified drones have been spotted flying over three bases used by the United States Air Force in Britain, the two countries have confirmed.

The drones appeared at different times between Wednesday and Saturday and hovered over the Royal Air Force’s Mildenhall, Feltwell and Lakenheath bases

These latest drone sightings come after it was reported in The Wall Street Journal that mysterious drones swarmed the area around Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, in December 2023 for 17 days.

The incidents, which occurred between Wednesday and Friday, saw "small unmanned aerial systems" spotted over RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall, in Suffolk, and RAF Feltwell in the neighbouring county of Norfolk.

Drones over the bases in Britain ranged in size and configuration, a U.S. Air Forces in Europe spokesperson said.

The Air Force didn't identify who was behind the incursions, but said officials determined there was no impact on residents or critical infrastructure.
