Texas Gov. Greg Abbott vetoed a bill that would have banned consumable hemp products containing THC ingredients in the state, but said he's open to lawmakers passing a new effort to regulate what has become a booming business.

Texas Governor Abbott signed 1,155 bills into law and vetoed 28, and announced a Special Session for further legislative matters.

I’m not having a bad day,” Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said after the governor, a fellow Republican, vetoed the bill. “Texas is having a bad day.”
