The Broncos have promoted offensive lineman Calvin Throckmorton from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, the team announced Tuesday. He will give the team more depth at left guard after Ben Powers ( biceps) went on injured reserve last week, and fill-in left guard Matt Peart ( knee) was placed on IR on Tuesday.

The Denver Broncos could use some help before the trade deadline, and All-Pro veteran Demario Davis could make sense.
