By Sarah Young LONDON (Reuters) -King Charles and Keir Starmer welcomed Qatar's emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for a state visit to Britain on Tuesday that the prime minister hopes will help build on the Gulf state's investment in the country.

The British Royal family rolled out the red carpet for the Qatari leader who rode in a carriage along streets lined with Qatari and British flags.

Qatar's emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Downing Street on Wednesday as the royal wrapped up a two-day state visit to Britain. On Wednesday, Thani, visited the Sandhurst military academy,
