PTI leadership has announced plans to gather at specific locations before marching to Islamabad, where they intend to hold a sit-in at D-Chowk. Despite government efforts to block access to the city, the party has vowed to continue their protest and push for the release of Imran Khan and other demands.

Pakistan on Saturday closed down highways towards the national capital, partially suspended internet and mobile services, halted public transport, blocked important roads here with containers and deployed heavy security as jailed former prime minister Imran Khan's party seemed adamant about its protest march on Sunday.

Pakistan Railways has suspended all train services between Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar in light of the ongoing PTI protest. According to railway authorities, services between Peshawar and Rawalpindi, Lahore and Rawalpindi, as well as between Multan and Faisalabad to Rawalpindi, have been halted immediately.

On Thursday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ruled that PTI’s planned protest is unlawful and directed the federal government to take all necessary measures to maintain law and order in the federal capital without disrupting public life, particularly as the Belarusian president is scheduled to arrive over the weekend with a high-profile delegation.
