The man, 34, approached a group of people, and an argument ensued about 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 2400 block of North Clark Street, police said. He was shot in his chest and hospitalized in critical condition.

Lincoln Park — A Lincoln Park police officer and a suspect were hospitalized after a narcotics investigation led to gunfire Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
