Former league MVP Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a three-year contract extension that will guarantee the big man a whopping $299.5 million through the next five years, per ESPN.

Saying he hopes to be a Sixer "for the rest of my career," Joel Embiid reached a three-year contract extension with the team that sources told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne is worth $192.9 million.

Joel Embiid, who still had two years left on his current deal, will sign a 3-year $193 million max extension that will keep him in Philadelphia through at least 2028 with a player option for the 2028-29 season. Overall, he now has five years and $301 million on his deal as he remains the face of the Sixers.
