An Air India flight had to make an emergency landing following reports of a bomb threat one day after hundreds died in a fatal crash involving one of the airline's planes.

An Air India flight from Phuket bound for New Delhi received an onboard bomb threat on Friday and made an emergency landing back on the Thai island, airport authorities said.

The sole survivor of the Air India plane crash that killed more than 240 people said he walked out of a broken emergency exit after the aircraft hit a medical college hostel in the city of Ahmedabad.
