Donald Trump Jr.’s attempt at compassion towards Joe Biden lasted just a few hours on Sunday after the former president’s office announced he’d been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that has metastasized to the bone.

President Donald Trump delivered a nice message to Joe Biden on Sunday following the former president’s revelation that he was battling aggressive prostate cancer, and Donald Trump Jr. appeared to do the same. That did not last long though.

His tweet was far from well received. Between people pointing out that Dr. Jill Biden has her doctoral degree in Education and not medicine, and others questioning why Jr. labeled Biden's cancer as "stage five" when cancer is typically measured on a scale of 0 to 4, the post was largely seen as tasteless and lacking empathy.
