OAKLAND, Calif. - Election Day 2024 has arrived and millions of Californians are casting their votes in key races, both locally and nationally. Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump are vying for the presidency in a contentious race that has remained close leading up to Election Day.

Schiff’s win tonight means that with Sen. Alex Padilla, who was appointed to serve out the rest of Harris’ term in 2021 and won election himself in 2022, California has two male Senators for the first time since the first year of Bill Clinton’s presidency.
