The Twins just cannot seem to win a close game at Progressive Field. Their late-game woes continued on Thursday.

Tuesday night as the Twins host the Mets on FOX 9, we catch up with Twins.TV play-by-play announcer Cory Provus ahead of first pitch.

CHICAGO – Cory Provus wanted to pay tribute to late Milwaukee Brewers broadcaster Bob Uecker, his former colleague and mentor, when the Twins played in St. Louis during the season-opening series.

Minnesota Twins TV play-by-play announcer Cory Provus was thrilled to get an invite and wasn’t about to miss the event — even though the Twins had a game Wednesday at the Chicago White Sox.

With radio voice Kris Atteberry filling in on very short notice, Provus caught a train north and made it to the Miller High Life Theater just 10 minutes before the invitation-only program began.
