Manny Pacquiao's return to the ring at the weekend after a four-year hiatus marked the latest example of a boxer well past his prime who could not resist the temptation of the squared circle and a chance to add to his competitive legacy.

Saturday's scorecards robbed Pacquiao of a legendary win befitting a legendary career. They also stole from him something more precious — time.

Each card contains world title fights and big names, with fights ranging from Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois for the undisputed heavyweight championship to Manny Pacquiao ending his retirement at 46 to fight Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight championship.

Emmanuel "Jimuel" Pacquiao's boxing debut will be coming at a later date, rather then right before his father's return to the ring.
