American Idol favorites Slater Nalley and Thunderstorm Artis were eliminated from the singing competition on Monday. The two singer-songwriters went home after 19 million viewers cast their votes during the second night of Disney performances on ABC.

After the remaining five competitors each gave their all with their renditions of hit Disney songs Monday night, America voted for the Top 3 singers and said goodbye to Thunderstorm Artis and Slater Nalley. The Top 3 will compete in the finale next week and head to their hometowns for a special visit.

Thunderstorm Artis’ impressive run on “American Idol” came to an end today when he did not get the nationwide votes he needed to advance from the Top 5 to the Top 3.
