Wisconsin basketball landed at No. 19 in the latest AP Top 25 men’s college basketball poll on Monday. After being placed in the ‘receiving votes’ section of last week’s poll, Wisconsin received 370 points in this week’s update to firmly cement itself in the hierarchy.

The 15-point margin of victory over then-No. 9 Arizona was Wisconsin’s largest over a top-10 opponent since it defeated Michigan State, 67-49, on Feb. 2, 2010. The 103 points were also the most for the Badgers against a ranked opponent.

Wisconsin basketball received six votes in the latest AP Top 25 men’s college basketball poll on Monday.

Kansas strengthened its grip on No. 1 in the AP Top 25. The rest of the top 10 turned into a jumble of teams swapping places.

Although UW remains unranked in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, it increased its share of votes ever so slightly from the preseason poll. Before the season started, Wisconsin received five voting points. After one week of the college basketball season, the Badgers received six voting points.
