"Austin adds a lot in both run and pass, but it’s his slashing ability. Where, as he’s setting up somebody, he can really put his foot in the ground and really try to break somebody off," said head coach Dan Quinn. "Sometimes the four-yard run can be a 14-yard run because the first person he slashed and made them miss.”

Commanders running back Austin Ekeler is off the injured reserve list. The Commanders announced that Ekeler has been activated ahead of Sunday's game against the Cowboys. Ekeler missed the last four games with a concussion.
