Microsoft Flight Simulator is a gorgeous game, bringing near-photorealistic visuals to PCs and consoles as you soar through the air across the world. But that comes at a cost, mainly in the form of its storage size.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 addresses one of the biggest problems players had with its 2020 version, and the results are much better.

When Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 lands on PC and Xbox Series X|S this November, it will take up far less storage space than the last game. In fact, the sequel will require roughly one-fifth of Microsoft Flight Simulator's install size: 30GB versus more than 150GB.

While Flight Sim 2024 is adding elements from other genres, it'll do so while also taking less space on your hard drive. Neumann also told us that the new Flight Simulator will take less than one-third of the storage space of MFS 2020 for a more detailed world by using cloud streaming technology.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be released on November 19, 2024, and there are a lot of pre-order editions to choose from.
