Butler came to Saint Joseph College in 2001 and currently serves as associate professor and chair of the Education Department. She has also served as director of the middle/secondary teaching program.

The soonest a Saint Joseph's College could reopen in Rensselaer is 2020. “This is a positive step forward for the future of Saint Joseph’s College,” Fr. Barry Fischer said.
