The 2700X will have 8 cores and 16 threads with a base clock of 3.7GHz and a max boost up to 4.3GHz while the 2600X will offer up 6 cores and 12 threads with a base of 3.6Ghz and boost up to 4.2GHz.
The 2700X is a beast when overclocked, producing a multi-threaded score of 1879pts or 7% faster than a 1800X that is maxed out at 4GHz. It also beat the 5.2GHz 8700K by a convincing 13% margin.
Overclocked, we again squeezed only slightly more performance out of the second-gen Ryzen CPUs. The render time for the 2700X was reduced by 7% and 5% for the 2600X.
