The series is a prequel to “Outlander,” which premiered on Starz in 2014 and has run for seven seasons with an eighth season incoming. “Blood of My Blood” will feature a new cast and characters, while also giving origin stories to characters from the original series and new points of view on some of the original’s events.

Blood of My Blood will explore the lives and relationship of Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy).
