A storm will bring widespread rain and mountain snow to New Mexico starting this weekend. Colder air will stick around through the middle of next week. A warmer and windier day across New Mexico Friday.

A winter storm is headed for New Mexico and many in northern and central parts of the state could see some impacts. A winter storm warning has been issued for many parts of New Mexico. Impacts from the storm will be wide-ranging from heavy snow to strong winds.

A slow-moving winter storm was expected to drop up to three feet of snow in parts of the two states through Saturday, causing perilous road conditions and power outages.

Most of Colorado will see mainly sunny skies on Thursday with just above-average highs and a few clouds over the foothills in the Denver weather forecast.
