The Colorado Avalanche has been taking a lot of things day by day. One of which has been the potential return of their captain, Gabriel Landeskog. *See update at the bottom of this story.

The veteran forward was one of the first players out for warmups ahead of Game 2 between the Stars and Avalanche at American Airlines Center. That turned out to be the only time Landeskog saw the ice Monday.

Landeskog last suited up for Colorado in June 2022. Since then, it’s been nothing but surgeries and pain and setbacks.
