Delta has a total of 113 Boeing 757s in inventory, including the two variants, the 757-200 and 757-300. It has 97 Boeing 757-200s and 16 Boeing 757-300s in its fleet.

This comes just less than three weeks after a Delta Boeing 757-200 declared an emergency due to a "flap disagree" before making its landing safely in Atlanta after taking off in Savannah.

The Boeing 757 bound for Colombia stopped in its tracks after one of its nose wheels came off. The crew in command was unaware until a fellow Delta pilot spoke up.

A Boeing 757 plane lost its nose wheel shortly before taking off at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, according to US aviation officials.

The incident, which happened Saturday, involved a Boeing 757 plane that was headed to Bogotá, Colombia. “The passengers deplaned and were bused to the terminal,” it said in a statement.
