U.S. Army Alaska officials on Monday identified the man who was shot Saturday as 28-year-old 1st Lt. Brandon Keyon Moultrie of Columbia, South Carolina, a soldier at Fort Wainwright.

According to Fairbanks police, Brandon Moultrie was shot in the parking lot of the Big I Bar at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, and died Sunday afternoon.
