I noticed with interest a reference in the article by Leslee Komaiko ("Candy in Pithy Packaging," Oct. 31) about Doraemon, the ultra-popular and well-loved robot cat in Asia.
The coloring was that of a Smarty-type candy, while the shapes were of cartoon characters or brand name logos. Examples are the "Netflix" and "Facebook" logos and Bart Simpson's face.
