Milwaukee Brewers, MLB and All-Star Game
Digest more
It's been five decades since Hank Aaron played his last All-Star Game, a showcase at County Stadium in Milwaukee that also featured a beer shortage.
The Brewers reached the All-Star break on Sunday after 96 regular-season games (56-40) and five long months of baseball, if you go all the way back to the February day that pitchers and catchers reported to Spring Training.
The Brewers extended their winning streak after blasting the Nationals 8-1 from Milwaukee. Freddy Peralta earned the win after giving up the lone run over six-plus innings. Jackson Chourio crushed a three-run homer as the Brew Crew have won seven straight. They’re 1-game behind the first place Cubs.
Right when the Brewers got healthy, they unsurprisingly turned things around. Milwaukee is so good right now that it actually just set a new franchise record with 56 wins before the All-Star break, as shared by MLB on social media. "The Brewers' 56 wins at the All-Star break are the most in franchise history!"
