After it was announced that a revival series of the ABC sitcom was in the works on Freevee in 2022, Amazon is no longer moving forward with it, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The sequel series would have seen original stars Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano returning to reprise their roles as Tony and Samantha Micelli.

A pair of IP-based projects at Amazon aren’t moving forward after several years of development. The tech giant’s Freevee streaming service has scuttled a sequel to the 1980s sitcom Who’s The Boss?, which had original series stars Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano attached to reprise their roles.

The ‘Bosch’ spinoff would have marked a return for Jamie Hector’s detective character, while the ‘Who’s the Boss?’ continuation would have reunited Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano.

It appears Renée Ballard will be the only Bosch-verse character getting their own spinoff. TVLine has learned that a previously in-development Bosch offshoot focused on Jamie Hector’s Jerry Edgar is no longer moving forward at Prime Video.
