The pursuit of a kidnapping suspect and victim from the Santa Fe Springs area to Westminster lasted about 105 minutes Saturday with flat front tires slowing the pace to a crawl.

A woman who was allegedly kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend in El Monte was released after a 21-mile freeway pursuit through L.A. and Orange counties.

Police: The man appeared distraught and was armed with a firearm when he got into an argument with the woman, which escalated when he forced her into her own car.

A slow-speed pursuit came to an end on the 405 Freeway.
