An Israeli rabbi who went missing in the United Arab Emirates has been found murdered, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said on Sunday, denouncing his death as a "heinous antisemitic terrorist act".

The Israeli authorities called the killing of the rabbi, Zvi Kogan, an act of terrorism. He had been missing since Thursday.

Kogan was an emissary of the Chabad Lubavitch movement, a prominent branch of ultra-Orthodox Judaism based in Brooklyn's Crown Heights neighborhood.
