Could we be getting a Black Myth Wukong DLC announcement soon? Game Science has hinted at "surprises" for the game's players.

Rebirth’ claimed four gongs–and the incredible indie hit ‘Balatro’ picked up two–but the public favored ‘Black Myth: Wukong’ for GOTY.

Wukong turned out to be one of the surprise hits of the year, and the action-adventure game is currently racking up awards. During an acceptance speech for one of those trophies, the cofounder of the studio behind the game said fans can expect a new surprise next month.

The developer of Black Myth: Wukong has teased “some surprises” for later this year. Accepting the Game of the Year award via video message at the Golden Joysticks, Game Science co-founder Feng Ji encouraged people who have yet to buy the smash hit action game to now do so. He then added the tease:

The votes have been cast and counted, and the winner declared: Black Myth: Wukong is the winner of Ultimate Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards 2024.

Of the six games nominated for 2024 Game of the Year, Black Myth: Wukong garners attention as a standout choice, but not for the right reasons.

Game Science has the chance to break a Game of The Year Curse if Black Myth: Wukong ends up winning the award next month.

While not officially announced, it is essentially confirmed Black Myth: Wukong DLC is on the way. Its release day is still a mystery, but a recent tease from the game’s director Feng Ji seems to imply it may be coming very soon.
