Energized Champions Crowned At Pressure-Packed Wisconsin (WIAA) State Boys Individual Wrestling Tournament
The Wisconsin (WIAA) state high school boys individual wrestling tournament came to an exciting, pressure-packed conclusion Saturday night as it crowned its champions in Division 1, 2 and 3 at the University of Wisconsin's Kohl Center.

Brown Deer/Messmer/Shorewood junior Makhi Rodgers took his shot in the final seconds, trailing 7-4, at securing a match-tying takedown, but it was not to be. Tanner Gormanson of Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln put the match away in the third period with a takedown off of Rodgers' move, securing the D1 285-pound title in a 10-4 final.
