WellNOW Urgent Care has announced that it has reached an agreement to return to the Excellus BlueCross BlueShield insurance network. As of5, 2024, Excellus BCBS patients who visit any of WellNow’s urgent care clinics can use their insurance without paying any out-of-network fees.

The two companies released a joint statement Monday announcing a new provider contract agreement had been reached.

An urgent care in Watertown will once again accept Excellus BlueCross BlueShield insurance. Back in January, WellNow urgent care and BlueCross BlueShield failed to strike a deal about “reasonable rates” BlueCross BlueShield told 7News last year during negotiations.

The two companies announced Monday they have executed a new provider contract agreement. The deal means WellNow will rejoin the Excellus BlueCross BlueShield provider network on Nov. 15, giving Excellus members in-network access to WellNow’s centers again.

WellNow Urgent Care has confirmed that it will once again be accepting BlueCross BlueShield insurance beginning in November.
