After securing a Middle East peace deal between Israel and Hamas, President Donald Trump is now focused on ending the Russia–Ukraine war.

Earlier, Trump met with Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as he pivots to brokering an end to the nearly four-year-old war in eastern Europe.

The president met with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, and later stated that the fighting should end and that territorial lines should be where the battle lines are today.

Speaking with NBC News' "Meet the Press" after his visit with Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged he didn't get what he wanted — but it could still happen.

President Donald Trump did not take the possibility of the US sending long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine off the table during his call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, sources familiar with their conversation told CNN.

Emboldened by Gaza, Trump remains confident that his dealmaking abilities will yield a similar success in Ukraine. But the progress in the Middle East was made only when Trump used his power, applying enough pressure to force both sides to a deal.
