Less than two days after Delta Air Lines offered $30,000 to each passenger on board the flight that crashed and flipped in Toronto on Monday afternoon, the company is facing its first lawsuit in the incident — and it likely won't be the last.

The payout for passengers “has no strings attached” and does not affect their rights, according to a Delta Air Lines spokesperson.

A passenger on the Delta flight from Minnesota that crash-landed at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport runway earlier this week has filed a lawsuit against the airline company, alleging that he was “drenched with jet fuel” during the ordeal.
