By Shrivathsa Sridhar MELBOURNE (Reuters) -Defending champion Aryna Sabalenka overcame a wobbly display to reach the Australian Open fourth round while Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz were at their dazzling best on a warm but windy Friday at Melbourne Park.

Two-time defending Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka extended a few impressive streaks on Friday while becoming one of the first players to advance to the fourth round of the year's opening Grand Slam tournament.

"Every person that’s bought a ticket to come out here and heckle me ... it’s all going towards the Danielle Collins fund."

Maybe attending sports events in person is too been-there, done-that in the modern age. So, apparently, is watching the actual action on a TV, laptop or phone. The Australian Open is getting in on the newest trend in the sports world by re-creating tennis matches in video-game form.

Tennis Australia has followed the lead of a number of other sports by animating their players in a video game-esque format. In this case, Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Coco Gauff et al look like characters from Wii Tennis.
