Governor Henry McMaster said four people were killed in South Carolina because of Tropical Storm Helene’s impact on the state. Two firefighters in Saluda County, and two individuals in Newberry County.

Hurricane Helene is expected to make landfall in Florida Thursday and is forecast to move into South Carolina by early Friday, meteorologists say.
