A listeria outbreak linked with ready-to-eat meat and poultry products from Yu Shang Food Inc. has caused 11 illnesses in four states, with nine hospitalizations and the death of an infant, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

On Friday, the CDC said that 11 people have been infected with listeria across four states. Out of the cases, nine have been hospitalized and one has died.

Soft cheeses, frozen breakfast foods, smoked salmon and other products have been recalled for potential listeria contaminations in the last month.
