Portland police have used confidential informants embedded within the protest crowd at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in South Portland to help build several criminal cases, court records reveal.

Mayor Keith Wilson criticized the federal government’s handling of the situation near the ICE facility and warned conditions there could lead to a “disaster.”
