Michigan State basketball left off latest ESPN early preseason rankings for 2025-26 season

From the Big Ten, Borzello has the following teams ranked: Purdue at No. 1, Michigan at No. 8, UCLA at No. 15, Illinois at No. 16 and Wisconsin at No. 20. Ohio State and USC joined the Spartans in the "Next in line" spot of just outside the top 25.

Michigan State basketball ranked outside top 15 in latest poll from The Field of 68

Rob Dauster of The Field of 68 released an updated batch of preseason rankings for next year on Tuesday, which included the Spartans in the mix. Dauster had Michigan State come in at No. 16 in his updated rankings -- which was only one spot behind CBS Sports' Gary Parrish (who also released updated rankings on Tuesday).
