People magazine has awarded 36 men the coveted title of Sexiest Man Alive. Mel Gibson was the first to receive the title in 1985. John Krasinski currently holds the crown. Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Johnny Depp, and Richard Gere have each been selected twice.

Krasinski succeeds Patrick Dempsey who won the title in 2023. The first winner was Mel Gibson in 1985.
